Overtraining Muscles
Overtraining muscles is the number one reasons why most people do not gain the muscle mass that they want. As a new weights trainer, many people think that training more is better. However it’s important to realise that in order for your muscles to gain weight at their fastest level, and stay healthy, you have to give them the rest they need.
There are a few easy to tell if you are overtraining. If you are starting to feel that you are not getting anywhere, or that you lifts are getting weaker, that is one of the major signs of over training. Other signs can also including returning injuries, sleeping problems and tiredness and feeling constantly run down. Overtraining can also lead to some short term and long term health issues, which is something that is to be avoided.
People that overtrain often think that it is their diet or supplements that are at fault. They then change these things, often not giving their muscles the correct nutrition that they need. Doing this means that they will never get the muscle mass that they want.
The best way to stop overtraining is to design a routine and keep to it. Everyone is different and can do a different amount. While some people may be able to train 7 days a week without overtraining, other may only be able to do three. Just make a plan that suits you. Make sure to factor in time between exercises for your muscles to rest, and stick to it.
If you give your muscles the right food and proper rest you will not only feel better, but you will see quicker results.
