Everyone knows that drinking water is important, but most people don’t realise just how much it will help with gaining muscle mass.

WHY? Well you are made up of around 80% water. Lean muscles are made up of 75% water, so of course they need lots of water to function correctly.

Simply put, water increases your body output so you can get the most out of your muscle building. Here is how water helps your body:

Maximum Strength – Not having enough water can really decrease your muscle performance. I hear people saying “yeh, but by how much?” Well 3% dehydration can lead to about a 10-15% loss in strength.
